In 2017, Angie attended the Network in Canadian History & Environment's (NiCHE's) Canadian History and Environment Summer School (CHESS). CHESS 2017 focused on the theme of Gender and Indigenous Landscape, took place in Southern Ontario, and featured two and a half days of field trips, workshops, public lectures, and more. An important experience for Angie, she wrote this thoughtful and amazing piece about her time at CHESS: Confronting Colonialism in Land Acknowledgements. Check it out - it's a fantastic read. Great work, Angie!
