The most recent issue of Glas Slavonije's weekly political magazine was focused on protests in Croatia since 1995, in anticipation of this week's big protests scheduled in a number of cities in Eastern Croatia. As part of this issue, I was interviewed due to my previous writings on political apathy and protest in Croatia. I focused the discussion on issues of class orientation and the rise of ecological protest in SE Europe, the long history of uprisings in the Balkan region since the 1700s, and how political elites have suppressed dissent and succeeded in erasing local political culture since the end of the war.
